WHAT IS SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION?

Scalp Micropigmentation is an aesthetic procedure aimed at disguising baldness, repairing scars on the scalp resulting from hair transplants, accidents, or surgeries, as well as filling in hair gaps. The technique involves the application of specific pigments to the scalp skin, creating the illusion of increased hair density or a shaved hair look.

The method is minimally invasive, does not require hospitalisation, incisions, stitches, or bleeding, making it an ideal option for those experiencing hair loss.

TECHNIQUES USED IN SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION

Microcapilar® is suitable for individuals who have experienced significant hair loss as well as those with thinning hair. It is also recommended for increasing density in hair transplants.

Therefore, we offer two variations of the technique:

• Procedures for Shaved Hair – Up to 3 cm.
• Procedures for Long Hair – Over 3 cm.

1- MICROCAPILAR® FOR SHAVED HAIR (up to 3 cm)

The techniques below are suitable for individuals with significant or total baldness, being appropriate for those with hair up to 3 cm.

THE RESULT OF MICROCAPILAR® 3D REALISTIC HAIR STRANDS

The result of the MICROCAPILAR® 3D REALISTIC HAIR STRANDS technique, in addition to achieving a more pronounced darkening and creating the illusion of texture (hence the term 3D), provides the appearance of hair shaved with a number 1 clipper, following the natural growth pattern of the hair (position, distribution, and movement) from the crown, with the most realistic results observed so far in scalp micropigmentation.

To achieve a natural result in the 3D Hair Strand technique, anatomical knowledge of hair movement, artistic skill, refined aesthetic sense, and expertise in pigment implantation in the dermis are necessary.

Suitable candidates for the technique

The 3D Hair Strand Scalp Micropigmentation technique is recommended for men and women of all ages who experience significant baldness and pronounced hair loss or total baldness.

The technique is an effective solution for:

• Androgenetic Alopecia (Male/Female Pattern Baldness);
• Alopecia Universalis or Totalis;

A technique to address hair thinning and complement hair transplants in individuals with hair longer than 3 cm. The Dense Background technique is exclusive and provides the appearance of denser, fuller hair, free of gaps and bald spots, in just one session.

Microcapilar Dense Background is suitable for hair of all colours, including white and blonde.

SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION IN A SINGLE SESSION

Scalp Micropigmentation is a procedure that, in our clinic, is performed in a single session, lasting approximately 4 hours, providing immediate results (except for the 3D realistic hair strands technique, which requires two sessions).

The method is minimally invasive, does not require hospitalization, incisions, or stitches, becoming an ideal option for those who suffer from hair loss.

Based on the technique used and the individual characteristics of each patient, Scalp Micropigmentation can last from 3 to 15 years. In this regard, it is essential to perform maintenance after the fading of the pigment to renew the results.
